How times have changed.
People have gradually become used to the idea that they can easily save their 10% GST if not much more by shopping online. First they have given it a go with simple, low-risk items. Just like other experiences in life - the first time is the scariest, and then it just comes naturally.
As a result of shoppers having confidence in the system, guarantees from online sellers and so on, more and more online-only shops have cropped up selling items like kitchen and laundry appliances, 3D ready TVs and more that I think even 5-7 years ago no one would have dreamt of purchasing outside of a brick-and-mortar store.
One recent example is TheRealDeal.com.au.
Very new, here are some points I first noticed:
- The brands. This was the first thing I saw. For good examples - Dyson DC39 Allergy Ball Barrel Vacuum Cleaner, LG 581L White Side by Side Refrigerator - IceBeam Door Cooling, Sony 40 inch EX720 Series BRAVIA Full HD 3D TV, Panasonic Sylish Touchscreen Digital Camera, Samsung GALAXY Tab 10.1 3G BLACK 64GB Tablet - these are quality, name brands and products
- The range. Whitegoods, home theatre, tablet PCs, digital cameras and camcorders, personal grooming like shavers, clippers and electric toothbrushes, accessories (including cables) - there is really a complete range which is excellent to see, and they are broadening it consistently every few months.
- Some images are missing - sure to be filled in as TheRealDeal expands and grows
- Let's say you purchase a TV or Panasonic airconditioner - they will take good care of your items right up to your front door - just be sure you have arranged installation from a third party shortly thereafter. Read their sensible shipping details here
- Competitively priced. Compare to other retailers and it appears the deals are there to be had.
TheRealDeal is worth exploring for big-ticket items as well as smaller personal care or personal use (phones, cameras, tablets, etc). There's as much choice for kitchen and laundry items as there is for high quality audio and visual products.
Check out TheRealDeal.com.au briefly now if you haven't already. They are proudly Australian-owned and operated as well.
